Overview

This is an operations role largely responsible for providing 24x7x365 support to our Windows OS managed customer base located in TierPoint datacenters and Cloud environments across the nation. We are seeking a skilled technical resource that thrives on supporting diverse environments while delivering superb customer service. This position requires the desire and discipline to be able to identify and troubleshoot issues in a variety of customer environments.  Members of the Windows Engineering group are expected to be able to drive alarm notifications and client submitted tickets to resolution while working with the customer in a professional and client-first environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality internal and external customer service surrounding the Company values.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues within diverse client environments.
  • Drive Microsoft Windows Server issues to resolution in a timely and efficient manner, while maintaining open communication with the affected systems owner.
  • Maintain and write standard documentation for all managed environments
  • Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation and off-hours maintenance responsibilities
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and server management concepts.
  • Attention to detail and ability to own issues/projects to see them through to completion.
  • Understanding of PowerShell, scripting
  • Adequate professional experience and knowledge to perform Job Responsibilities
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work both independently and with others
  • Ability to operate in a fast moving, team-oriented, collaborative environment with tight deadlines

 

Preferred Experience

  • Prior 3 years’ experience in relevant fields, particularly in the data center industry
  • Familiarity with the following are a plus:
    • Active Directory
    • Remote Desktop Services
    • WSUS (Windows Server Update Services)

 

Pay Transparency
TierPoint is committed to practices that promote pay equity and transparency. We provide a compensation range for roles that may be hired in locations with pay transparency law requirements. It’s important to note the pay range may be narrower than displayed, as various factors are used to determine the offered compensation package including skill set, level of experience, geographic locations, and other relevant factors- i.e. budgetary requirements.
Pay Range $60,000.00 - $97,778.29
