Overview

The Sales Director, Southeast is responsible for developing and driving strategic sales plans for selling to new customers and to TierPoint’s existing customer base, both directly and through channel partners. The Sales Director, Southeast will create positive and ethical business outcomes and will be comfortable working in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment. Candidate must be a true leader who understands the intricate and tactical dynamics of the Cloud (IaaS), Managed Services, Colocation and Disaster Recovery space and how to build and direct a sales organization able to achieve consistent and outstanding results.

 

This is a hybrid structured opportunity, allowing the flexibility to work from home. However, there will be requirements to travel into one of our data centers within the region this role will support:

  • Charlotte, NC
  • Raleigh, NC
  • Jacksonville, FL

(and other regions on an as needed basis)

Responsibilities

  • Build, grow, and lead a sales team selling Cloud (IaaS), Managed Services, Colocation and Disaster Recovery Solutions to new and existing customers.
  • Build and develop an alternate sales channel and coach the sales team on how to effectively manage a channel.
  • Development of team members and ability to manage underperformance with concrete performance plans
  • Consistent use of sales CRM processes, procedures and reporting.
  • Use of interactive tools including chat, forums, email, monitoring and other web based social media to exceed customer expectations and evangelize TierPoint.
  • Create and foster a winning environment and work individually as a motivated self-starter.
  • A natural-born coach who will create and lead sales training and workshop sessions on a regular basis, using Solution Selling and/or other consultative and strategic sales methodologies
  • Lead, hire, and hold accountable, a team, with best-in-breed cost structure, operations, and execution quality.
  • Provide accurate and timely forecasting.
  • Provides quality internal and external customer service surrounding the Company values.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in desired; advanced degree is preferred
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ of sales leadership experience in Cloud (IaaS), Managed Services, Colocation, and Disaster Recovery Solutions to new and existing customers with a proven track record of success.
  • Fundamental understanding of the sales process of dedicated, managed, cloud, and hybrid web hosting solutions.
  • Fundamental understanding of common Windows Server applications.
  • Strong CRM skills while being accountable (and holding team members accountable) for accurate opportunity forecasting
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing technology sales strategies, preferably using Solution Selling and/or other consultative and strategic sales methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully leading high-performance teams with the ability to proactively engage with marketing, product management and development teams and work strategically and collaboratively across teams to establish clear priorities for existing customers.
  • Experience building and developing an alternate channel and coaching a sales organization on how to effectively manage a channel.
  • Proven ability to overachieve on a sales quota selling technology products both directly and indirectly.
  • Adequate professional experience and knowledge to perform all job responsibilities
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work both independently and with others
  • Ability to operate in a fast-moving, team-oriented, collaborative environment with tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in using MS Office Suite and Windows-based computer applications

It’s important to note the pay range may be narrower than displayed, as various factors are used to determine the offered compensation package including skill set, level of experience, geographic locations, and other relevant factors- i.e. budgetary requirements.

 

Pay Range $139,000.00 - $211,095.99
