Overview

The Solutions Delivery Manager (SDM) is the technical leader for client implementations.  Responsibilities include collecting, evaluating, and disseminating technical design requirements.  The SDM works closely with the Sales Engineering, Implementation Engineering, and Project Management teams to architect fully functioning designs based on TierPoint standards.  The ideal candidate will possess extensive customer service experience and a diverse technical skillset with an expert-level focus in Networking, Virtualization, or Security.

Responsibilities

  • Design managed services solutions to meet customer needs while adhering to TierPoint and industry best practices and procedures
  • Conduct TierPoint solution reviews with customers to generate complete design documents for implementation
  • Coordinate with Product Technology to resolve design questions and infrastructure deviations to support implementations
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product Technology, Implementation, and Leadership Teams delivering customer solutions
  • Provide technical oversight as required during the implementation life cycle of projects
  • Provides quality internal and external customer service surrounding the Company values.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or six years of recent industry-specific experience with a focus on Network, Virtualization, or Security technologies
  • In-depth working knowledge of managed services solutions
  • Expert level understanding in at least one of the below categories
    • Networking technologies, including the configuration of Nexus or Arista platforms
    • Security technologies, including the configuration of Fortigate, NSX, or ASA firewalls
    • Virtualization technologies, including the configuration of VMware, Nutanix, or VXrail
    • Disaster Recovery technologies, including configuration on Zerto, EMC RP4VM, or Leap
  • Strong understanding in the areas of data center and managed hosting services
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work both independently and with others
  • Ability to operate in a fast moving, team-oriented, collaborative environment with tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in using MS Office Suite and Windows-based computer applications, including Visio

Preferred Experience

  • Hold or be willing to attain relevant industry certifications (CCNP, CCIE, CISSP, CCDP, NSE, VCA, VCP, VCDX, NCP, etc.)
  • Experience supporting or designing large-scale data center environments
  • Experience in Managed Service Migrations, Networking, Load Balancing, Virtualization, Storage, Backup technologies, Security, and Disaster Recovery solutions
  • Experience in Private Cloud and Multi-Tenant data center solutions
  • Minimum of 5 years of direct customer implementation and/or technical governance experience
  • In-depth knowledge of TierPoint products, services, and policies
  • Prior experience particularly in the data center industry

TierPoint is committed to practices that promote pay equity and transparency. We provide a compensation range for roles that may be hired in locations with pay transparency law requirements.
It’s important to note the pay range may be narrower than displayed, as various factors are used to determine the offered compensation package including skill set, level of experience, geographic locations, and other relevant factors- i.e. budgetary requirements.


Pay Range $90,000.00 - $155,161.86
